Mayor joins Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein law firm
Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin has joined the business and government relations law firm of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein in its Columbia office. Benjamin, who was elected mayor in 2010, previously worked for labor lawyers Ogletree Deakins. He also has served as director of the S.C. Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services and as an assistant prosecutor in the 4th Judicial Circuit. Parker Poe is a fast-growing law firm with more than 210 lawyers in six offices in the Carolinas. Ron Tryon is managing partner of the Columbia office.
